We can support anyone who has served in or been attached to The City of London Battalion, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) and its descendants.
These descendants include: 624th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment Royal Artillery (Royal Fusiliers); C Company 5th (Volunteer) Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers; C (City of London) Company 8th (Volunteer) Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers (City of London); C (City of London Fusiliers) Company, The London Regiment; 3 (City of London Fusiliers) Company, The London Regiment; and C (City of London Fusiliers) Company 5 Fusiliers.
We can also support the dependents and descendants of those who have served in or been attached these units.
Finally, we can support charitable funds and institutions if the trustees believe it directly or indirectly benefits any of the people mentioned above.
How we can help
We can award grants and make loans to those people and organisations mentioned above if we believe it meets the charity's purpose. Here are some examples of cases we would be happy to consider:
Serving member - making a grant and/or loan to enable debt consolidation.
Company veteran - providing a grant and/or loan to pay for a training course as part of a career change.
Spouse of a deceased company clerk - grant for the purchase of household goods.
Grandchild of a veteran - grant towards university fees.
Charity or community organisation - grant towards the purchase of medals of a veteran for display in a museum.
Student - grant to enable a local history project incorporating significant information on the units mentioned above.
These are examples - the trustees have a great degree of freedom to disburse funds to those deemed beneficiaries.
